For the convenience of Amelia County citizens, Waste Management operates six convenience centers and recycling sites in Amelia County:
- Deatonville: 7761 S Genito Road
- Mannboro: 6701 Namozine Road
- Maplewood Landfill: 20221 Maplewood Road
- Old County Landfill: 10200 Epps Lane
- Pleasant Grove: 14415 Dykeland Road
- Ponton's Store: 5141 Ponton's Circle
- Mondays and Saturdays: 7 am to 7 pm
- Tuesdays and Thursdays: 3 pm to 7 pm
- Fridays: 11 am to 7 pm
- Sundays and Wednesdays: Closed

The Environmental Manager is responsible for inspections and code compliance at both the Maplewood Landfill (Waste Management) and county convenience centers as well as managing Amelia's extensive recycling program.
Additionally, the Environmental Manager:
- Conducts educational programs
- Manages the county's litter control grants
- Investigates litter complaints
- Enforces the county's Solid Waste Ordinance
- Conducts county-wide cleanups, including the annual Spring Clean-up
