Chief Wastewater Plant Operator
The County of Amelia is soliciting applications for a full-time salaried position of Chief Wastewater Plant Operator. The successful applicant will be responsible for the daily operation, supervision, and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility. The applicant must possess a high school diploma with general knowledge in chemistry, biology, sanitary and/or environmental engineering or related fields. The applicant must be certified by the State of Virginia as a Class III Wastewater Operator, with at least 3 years of experience as an operator at a wastewater treatment facility. The successful applicant must have and maintain a valid Virginia driver's license and must have the ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays and to be on call for emergencies. The salary shall be based on qualifications.
