BRIDGE REPAIRS TO CLOSE GRUB HILL CHURCH ROAD IN AMELIA
The bridge is located over Flat Creek
AMELIA – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close Grub Hill Church Road (Route 609) to through traffic over Flat Creek in Amelia County beginning Thursday, January 3 for bridge repairs. Weather permitting, the work is expected to be complete by late winter/early spring.
During repairs, drivers should follow the posted detour routes:
· Northbound Grub Hill Church Rd. (Rt. 609) – Take N. Lodore Rd. (Rt. 636) north to Genito Rd. (Rt. 616) east back to Grub Hill Church Rd. (Rt. 609).
· Southbound Grub Hill Church Rd. (Rt. 609) - Take Genito Rd. (Rt. 616) west to N. Lodore Rd. (Rt. 636) south back to Grub Hill Church Rd. (Rt. 609).
