RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
EDUCATION - Treasurer, Pam Conyers and Deputy Treasurer, Wanda Fleming, have attained the educational levels of Master Governmental Treasurer and Master Governmental Deputy Treasurer within the Treasurers Association of Virginia. They have received these levels of certification by taking six courses through the Weldon Cooper Center at the University of Virginia and passing exams. Additionally, to have this certification, the office has had four consecutive good audits, has written a personnel policy, an investment policy, a delinquent collection policy and most important of all a CUSTOMER SERVICE POLICY. They will continue to maintain this in order to keep Amelia County Treasurer's Office cost effective and efficient for the citizens.
DELINQUENT COLLECTIONS - The Treasurer's Office has been extremely successful in setting up and improving a Delinquent Collection process. We have collected 98% of all taxes charged to this office to collect an an annual basis. This is very beneficial to the County's financial picture.
