David M. Gangel
Superintendent - Public Schools
David M. Gangel holds a Master of Quality Management in Business and a Master of Education in Secondary Administration from the University of Miami and a Doctor of Education in Administration from Virginia Tech University. Dr. Gangel presented at the National Quality Education Conference in Dallas, Texas in 2006, (Amelia Data Driven PDSA Instruction Improvement Process) and the National NCCRESt Conference in Denver, Colorado in 2006, (Ending Disproportionate Representation in Special Education). Dr. Gangel was named the 2007 Regional Superintendent of the Year. Most recently, he presented at the National Quality Education Conference, (Data Driven Instruction), in Reno, Nevada in December, 2008. Dr. Gangel is one of the first superintendents to participate in the American Education Mission to India in March of 2008. He is serving his twenty-fourth year as a superintendent with the Amelia County Public Schools in Virginia.
